I use computer science, statistics, and mathematics to solve problems related to biological sequence data. I mostly develop bioinformatics software, but I have also done project management, publication of manuscripts, mentorship of students, and lecturing.

Hobbies
I like playing video games, board games, and tabletop role-playing games. I especially enjoy games that have historical settings, elements of strategy, or allow creativity. I also like cycling on my Dutch bike, recreational ice skating, and taking my cat Fraggle for daily walks.
